Dog Training

Our Puppy program is a 3 month program.  I would like for pup to be 6 months of age.  In this program the pup will receive an introduction to birds, which will be a fun excersize for him or her.

When the pup shows an advanced interest in pointing and chasing the bird he will be introduced to the gun. All of this will coincide with some short travel, and routine exercise.

At the end of this puppy program your pup should be pointing, and chasing birds with gun fire.

Breaking Started Dogs;  Begins with yard training for 1 month, there the dog will be taught whoa, come, and heal.  When the dog is responding correctly to the commands the dog will be moved to the field.

Field Training; Starts with reinforcing the yard training in the field. Once the dog is performing correctly in the field the commands will be mixed in with bird work. They will be worked with birds and commands until a good performance is achieved.

Patterning; before starting this we will discuss where our goal is to be with the dog. Examples: foot hunting, hunt test, field trialing, etc. Once this is decided we will move forward on how we pattern the dog.

Force Breaking; this is for dogs that will not retrieve or if you would like a polished retrieve to hand. If dog is already in our training program the cost will be the same amount per month. If this is the only training your dog will need it is a cost of $450 per month.
